Cast acrylic with the paperwork.
Every order ships with a certificate covering ASTM D5436-20, CFR 21 177.1010 food-contact compliance, cast batch reference, and source-monomer traceability to Mitsubishi M-503 MMA (formerly Lucite). All in one PDF, delivered automatically at shipment.
- ASTM D5436-20 conformance Type UVA, Finish 1 — the standard for cast acrylic sheet, rod, and tube.
- CFR 21 177.1010 food-contact compliance Approved for articles intended for use in contact with food. Critical for beverage sight glasses, food-processing viewing columns, and dairy equipment.
- Batch reference Your product carries a specific pour batch ID (e.g. 26-001), traceable to the day and run it was cast.
- Source monomer: Mitsubishi M-503 (formerly Lucite) We identify the exact grade of methyl methacrylate our material is made from. Lucite has been synonymous with optical acrylic since WWII aircraft canopies.
- Full monomer chemistry specifications Ester purity ≥99.9%, methacrylic acid ≤0.003%, water ≤0.03%, color APHA ≤8.0, inhibitor 8–12 ppm. Everything spelled out so your QA team doesn't have to hunt.
- Made in USA Cast at our Pittsgrove, NJ mill — 321 Willow Grove Road. Matters for defense, government, and ESG-conscious procurement.
We want your QA team to know exactly what they're getting.
What it is
- A batch-traceable Certificate of Conformance to ASTM D5436.
- A food-contact compliance declaration to CFR 21 177.1010.
- Documentation of source-monomer grade, purity specs, and inhibitor content.
- A made-in-USA declaration with facility address.
What it isn't
- A per-batch analytical test report. Chemistry specs describe the source monomer's guaranteed limits, not measurements taken on your specific batch.
- A formal MTR/CMTR chain suitable for aerospace or defense qualification programs — those typically require program-specific test protocols. Talk to us if you need one; we can discuss what's possible.
- Third-party laboratory validation. Our certification is manufacturer's certification; it's the mill attesting to what the mill made. Independent lab testing is available on request at additional cost.
Why this matters
For most industrial, medical device housing, aquarium, and food-processing applications, a batch-traceable Certificate of Conformance with source-monomer identification is what your specification asks for. The typical cast acrylic supplier ships a generic mill cert — a boilerplate declaration with no batch reference and no chemistry data. Ours ships with every order, automatically, referencing your specific pour.
- 01 Order standard SKUs from the catalog, or request a quote for custom specs.
- 02 Cast in Pittsgrove. The batch reference is captured at the pour.
- 03 The cert is generated automatically at shipment.
- 04 The PDF cert is emailed to you with your tracking notification.
Food & beverage processing
Sight gauges, viewing columns, and dairy equipment where food-contact compliance is on the spec.
Medical device housings
Enclosures and components requiring food-contact-grade material with documented origin.
Chemical process equipment
Viewing sections and columns for plants that qualify their material sources.
Government & defense contracts
Requirements for US-cast, traceable material with documentation that survives an audit.
Aquarium & life-support
Applications where clarity and material purity affect biological safety.
Anywhere “trust us” isn't enough
If a QA engineer, customer, or regulator will ask where the material came from, the certificate answers it.
